Australia’s psychologists earn the least

In 2018, Australia’s average salary for a psychologist was $62,100, according to the latest figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

A spokesperson for the ABS said this was the lowest salary paid to a psychologist in Australia.

“We have a psychologist on the frontline, a specialist in mental health who is also a licensed psychologist,” the spokesperson said.

The average salary of a psychologist, based on the latest data from the ABS, is $62.9 million.

Psychologist salaries in 2018 The median salary for the job in 2018 was $56,000, according the ABS data.

This was up 6.2 per cent from 2017, but down 6.1 per cent on a year earlier.

Median salaries for psychologists were also lower in the first half of 2019.

In 2019, the median salary of an Australian psychologist was up 5.6 per cent to $55,100.

It was also up 0.2 cent on the same quarter last year.

Average salary for psychiatrists in 2018 Mental health professionals are paid a median of $74,200.

However, a psychiatrist with a PhD, a master’s degree, a PhD from an Australian university or an international graduate degree is paid more than a psychiatrist in the same role.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, psychiatrists have a median annual income of $90,800.

A recent report from the Australian Psychological Society said the average salary paid by a psychiatrist was $80,300.
